Yes. Both men and women may use ViviscalPRO.

Q: What happens if I stop taking Viviscal PRO?

If you stop taking Viviscal PRO, the benefits you have experienced will diminish over time as the hair growth cycle continues. Equally if you do not take it for the full six-month program you are unlikely to experience the full benefits of the product.

Q: Will Viviscal PRO cause hair to grow elsewhere on the body?

No: VPRO targets the hair follicles on the head. Body hair, which is also known as androgenic hair, has different growth phase cycles to scalp hair, meaning the anagen phase is shorter and the telogen phase is longer. Therefore, head hair can grow quite long and body hair short. While the anagen phase for scalp hair lasts between two and 7 years, the androgenic hair (anagen) growing phase lasts only a few months. The telogen phase for body hair lasts close to a year.

Q: Is there anyone who isn’t a candidate for Viviscal PRO /Can anyone take Viviscal PRO?

Viviscal PRO is not recommended for the following:

Users who are allergic to fish or seafood
Women who are pregnant or nursing
Any person under the age of 18
It is not suitable for Vegans, Vegetarians, or those who may be on a Kosher diet

Q: What are the active ingredients of Viviscal PRO?

AminoMar TM Marine Complex: AminoMar is derived from marine protein molecules and has been proven to nourish thin hair from within.

Apple extract powder: Procyandin B2, an essential ingredient that has been shown to increase hair density and diameter.

Biotin: A vital ingredient for healthy hair growth. It helps the body metabolize carbohydrates, fats, and amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein, and thus essential in the formation of the hair structure.

Q: Is Viviscal PRO gluten free?

Viviscal PRO supplements do not contain gluten, however we cannot confirm the manufacturing site is free of gluten.

Q: What is a “marine complex” and where do you source it?

The marine components in Viviscal PRO supplements are mollusk and shark proteins and are by-products of the fishing industry which are not obtained from protected species listed by CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora).

Q: Can I use the Thickening line as a replacement for the Viviscal PRO supplements?

Q: Does Viviscal PRO Thickening range contain any sulfates?

Our conditioner and elixir do not contain any sulfates. Our shampoo does not contain sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) or sodium laureth sulfate (SLES); but it does contain ammonium laurel sulfate (ALS) as a gentle sulfate ingredient for foaming.

Q: How should I use Viviscal PRO Thickening shampoo and conditioner?

Our shampoo and conditioner should be used as a daily hair care regimen. To use Thin to Thick Elixir, apply 2-3 pumps (depending on hair length) onto the palm of your hand and disperse throughout damp hair from root to tip using your fingers, or comb through. Alternatively, you can use Elixir as a styling aid on dry hair and it is suitable for everyday use.

Q: What is ammonium laurel sulfate (ALS)?

Sulfates help produce lather when shampooing. It is important to remember that not all sulfates are created equal. ALS is considered one of the gentlest options available. As a hair care brand, our research has indicated that cleansing the scalp thoroughly is important in creating the best environment for hair growth. Customer surveys have also shown that sulfate-free shampoos do not result in a satisfactory cleaning experience because they produce less lather.
